My personal experience with English..so far

What I'm about to tell probably won't be the same as the rest of my classmates. I've started to learn English from a very, very young age. My dad actually studies English at the University of Utrecht. He now works in London. I think in my whole life so far, I've heard him speak more English than Dutch. Back when I was younger I used to hear English all day long, an I was starting to adapt it. I think around the age of 12 I did not need subtitles for movies anymore. This skill became very handy in the future. I've been very internationally active during my high school days. Now having friends in Estonia, London, Germany and even Boston. After high school I wanted to get out of The Netherlands for a while so I went to a College in California, where i stayed for about 8 months playing water polo for the school. At Sierra College, Rocklin California I met Remco. He studies IB&M in Groningen as well. If interested in his experience click here .

And now I'm studying international business & management, again speaking and reading English all day long. My English is still far from perfect, in an academic view. I'm not yet able to write academic English yet and there is a lot of vocabulary that I don't know yet. So that are my main goals for this year. Evolving towards the next level of the English language!

This wraps up how far I am right now with English. This summary is just the start of my blog, there is a lot more coming these months.
